The surf conditions in Indonesia are the best in the world and Mentawai is a magical place due to the different kinds of waves, light winds and consistent swells.
The Mentawai islands are surfable all year round but the best conditions are from April through October, when waves are 2-4 meters high. From November to Mars waves are smaller, 1-2 meters high.

There are so many different spot that intermediate/advanced surfers can surf with every kind of waves size, and thanks to the board team experience on the islands and availability to obtain surf reports, always you will be in the right place at the right time.
Depending on the conditions, swell, wind and boat activity, you can surf as much as 3 session a day, in one spot or different ones.
All the boats that operate in Mentawai are in contact to avoid crowds.
There isn’t a fixed itinerary. This will change up to surf conditions and surfers level.

Is not very usual to see western tourist in Padang and local people are respectful towards tourists. The airport is small and has different international connections with Jakarta, Malaysia and Singapore everyday.
