SPOTS for surf school

El Cotillo:

this is the principal beach, perfect for doing surf school, located in the west coast 25 km far from Corralejo. The beach is 2 km long with sand bottom, there are many peacks and the waves are about 1 meters / 1,5 meters high. When waves are 2 meters high this spot become dangerous because of a strong current.

Esquinzo:

is located 7 km from El Cotillo and it’s a bay which works with small waves and low or medium tide. This bay is accessible only by a small groups of participant. With high tide rocks become dangerous!

Playa Blanca

is located 40 km far from Corralejo in the East coast, it works with wind waves and not with swell. The beach isn’t wonderful as the other ones but it is perfect to learn. Waves are glassy and easy with active wind conditions.

Playa de las Mujeres:

close to Tindaya, in the west coast, 35 minutes from Corralejo by a road that became inaccessible when it’s raining. Easy beach that is perfect with small waves and when in the other spots there aren’t wave. When waves are bigger this beach is inaccessible because of the current.

Playa Entubaderas o Flag Beach:

close to Corralejo dunes and 3 km from the centre. When the swell cames from NW and with much power, the sea turns from the West coast (too much big!) to the East coast and waves are glassy and perfect. If in El Cotillo waves are 3 mt high, here waves are 1 mt high.
