Eighty kilometres away from Lisbon, in the magnificent western region of Portugal, we find a small island, separated from the mainland by wide beaches of fine white sand: Baleal. It was here that we established our camp. As part of the province of Peniche, we have the privilege of being located in one of the best surf spots in Europe. Besides the well-known “Supertubes” surf-spot, the coastline of Peniche and Baleal
forms a kind of peninsula, and this shape provides waves of great consistency and quality all over the year!

THE CAMP

In 1997, Baleal Surf Camp was granted a section of the beach known as “Cantinho da Baía”.In fact, it is in this area, were the best waves break during the summer that we established our centre of operations.
B.B.Bar is a wooden structure on the beach that includes a surf shop, surf rent and also a bar/restaurant. The place to be in summer, especially with its relaxed ambience during the day and late night till the early hours parties!
